Who We Are

The Common Loon is a ‘Public House’ in the true sense of the phrase: a casual, relaxed place for great food, drink, and company in the heart of the village. Our mission was to create the type of pub that we would want to frequent, and that our families, friends, and neighbors would enjoy. We’re the perfect spot for a proper pint and a hearty (or healthy!) meal.

We also wanted to create a place where football (read: soccer) and rugby supporters in the area could gather for matches and camaraderie. We are the place to be for English Premiere League matches, or any other international sports of interest. If you follow it, we can show it, live or in replay. We also show hockey, baseball, and American football on our seven HD screens.

Our menu is eclectic, with influences from over the ocean and close to home, serving up such favorites for lunch and dinner as fish & chips, poutine, and pub burgers. Weekend mornings, our menu features hard-to-find dishes such as a Full English or Irish Breakfast. We’re also home to the only wood-fired brick oven in town, and offer a variety of pizzas and British pasties. At The Common Loon, we’re committed to fresh, house-made food and drink using locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients whenever possible.
